Table 6 Repair configuration files
Description
Filename
If any changes are done through the management interface, then the Host
Controller takes a backup copy in the same folder. Replace the existing
domain.xml
domain.xml
with the most recent backed up version. If the file is manually
modified, and there are no backup copies to replace from, and if the
modifications cannot be undone then the file can be replaced with the one
from a dummy NSASJ installation. Ensure that the dummy NSASJ installation
is created with exactly the same values used in the creating the installation
that is being repaired.
NOTE:
The values used to create an installation can be found in the
install.log
. If any applications are deployed on the installation that is
repaired, and if the domain.xml is repaired from a dummy installation,
then the applications have to be redeployed.
The procedure to repair this file is the same as domain.xml.
host.xml
This file cannot be repaired. The file can be replaced with the one from a
dummy NSASJ installation. Ensure that the dummy NSASJ installation is
ji.prop
(SERVER)
created with exactly the same values used in creating the installation that
is being repaired.

The setup script enables you to repair an NSASJ installation using the Repair an existing
NSASJ Configuration
option.
Perform the following steps to repair an NSASJ configuration:
1.
Run the setup script as described in
“Running the setup script” (page 33)
.

To repair the NSASJ installation, enter 3 at the setup script prompt.

The following message is displayed:
The following dialog will identify potential errors in an NSASJ installation and
fix them. NOTE: Configuration files would not be modified.
Paths will be relative to /home/usr

Enter the name of the NSASJ installation directory:
/home/usr
Checking if the required binary files are present in the NSASJ installation and
if the file sizes match ...

The binary files in the NSASJ installation - /home/usr are verified.
NOTE: Kindly ensure that the configuration files are checked manually. The repair operation would not
check the correctness of the configuration files.

All the files that are verified for correctness by the repair option are listed.

6.
Restart the NSASJ installation to check if the repair is successful.
