Limitations

When the master node gets killed, NSASJ still depends on JGroups to intimate the container of a
change in the cluster constitution. When JBoss runs on a platform such as Windows, each node
gets the intimation within a few seconds. While on NonStop, the intimation goes to other nodes
after an extended duration of several minutes. On occasions it is observed that the change in the
cluster structure is not communicated at all. This happens on occasions where the node that was
killed was not part of any JGroups cluster when it got killed. When the killed instance is restarted,
it once again tries to join the JGroups cluster and at this time, the nodes do get an intimation of a
change in the cluster constitution and elects a master again.

Future plans

One of the plans to overcome the above mentioned drawback is to trigger the master re-election
based on TS/MP serverclass information rather than rely on JGroups.

Try to modify JGroups such that the behavior is deterministic and stable even when run within
NSASJ.
