4-2-2-3 Physical Disks Summary
The third tab displays the Physical Disks Summary. It displays information about physical disks
only. The following information is collected and exhibited:
Disk – name of Physical disk. This is a clickable link, leading to detailed
upon
clicking.
Size (GB) – total size of disk (GB) at the time of collection.
Used (%) – displays a horizontal bar graph (similar to Web ViewPoint’s CCM) which displays
the current percentage usage of available space at the time of collection; bar is green if under
80, yellow if over 80 and under 90, and red if over 90.
Used (GB) – total space used (GB) by the disk at the time of collection.
Free (GB) – space remaining (GB) on the disk at the time of collection.
Growth (MB) – daily growth rate (MB) of disk calculated as a difference from the previous days’
usage.
New (GB) – size of new files (GB) created for the day in disk at the time of collection.
Days to 90% – number of days at which used storage is expected to reach 90% of available
capacity; this is based on the past growth data. Formula used to calculate this is :
Days to 90% = ((90% of disk capacity) –Used space) / Disk Growth.
Days to 100% - number of days at which used storage is expected to reach 100% of available
capacity; this is based on the past growth data. Formula used to calculate this is :
Days to 100% = (Disk capacity –Used space) / Disk Growth.
– number of disk fragments in the free space at the time of collection. This is a
