3-2-3-1 Alert Severity Level Indicators
The following severity levels (in decreasing order of severity) can be used during Alert definitions for
some of the fields:
- Critical
- Major
- Minor
- Warning
- Info
3-2-3-2 Alert Subscription from WVP
Each of the alerts (disk, file) defined by the user can be subscribed to using Web ViewPoint’s Event
subscription feature, accessible via Events -> Subscribe->Add new subscription. To subscribe to an
event from SA, use the Owner ‘TANDEM’ and Subsystem ‘288’ or ‘NSSTORA’ and the Event
number specified during the Alert definition.
Thus the EMS alert event generated from Storage Analyzer, via the features described in the
following sections, is “picked up” by Web ViewPoint and the subscription/notification is handled
through the core features of Web Viewpoint.
