5-1-3 Error & Advisory Messages (Pop-up Messages)
This section lists important Pop-up Events that display various Storage Analyzer application
conditions.
Storage Analyzer Processing Errors - Pop-up Messages
If a database interaction error (on a procedure call) occurs, an EMS event is generated as explained
in the previous section. In addition, the user will be shown the same error message in a pop-up
message window if the error occurs while the user is on one of the Storage Analyzer or Storage
Analyzer Admin screens.
Storage Analyzer Processing Errors - Possible Warning and Informational Pop-up Messages
Function or activity: Storage Analyzer Runtime Admin.
Please select at least one CPU to be utilized.
Cause: None of the CPU to utilize checkboxes is checked.
Recovery: Check at least one CPU to utilize checkboxes and enter a valid process priority value (2-
180). If none are checked, there won’t be any SA Host processes to run.
Please enter a valid integer (2-180) for Process ‘x’ Priority
Cause: CPU to utilize ‘x’ was checked without entering a valid process priority value (2-180).
Recovery: Enter a valid process priority value (2-180) for every checked “CPU to utilize”.
Please enter a valid integer (0-180) for the retention days
Cause: Retention days was either left blank or not supplied with a valid value (0-180).
Recovery: Enter a valid retention days value (0-180). This field determines how many days should the
data files be retained for.
Please enter a valid integer (0-32767) for 'older than' days
Cause: ‘Older than’ days field was either left blank or not supplied with a valid value.
Recovery: Enter a valid number of older than days value 0-32767). This field determines is used for
collecting data for the Old files as described in
