2-2-8 IPSETUP Option (DSM/SCM)
NonStop Storage Analyzer can be installed using DSM/SCM tool.
2-2-8-1 Overview
NonStop Storage Analyzer is packaged on a CD as an independent product. To install Storage
Analyzer on a NonStop server, proceed as shown in the following section using the product CD.
2-2-8-2 Process
a.
Run the IPSetup program to begin installation, and follow the on-screen prompts to copy
the files to the NonStop system.
b.
Files mentioned in the manual install section are placed into the product Subvolume.
c.
Use DSM/SCM to accept and install the new software onto the system using the
appropriate procedures.
2-2-8-3 Considerations
For a detailed explanation of how to use DSM/SCM and receive new software in DSM/ SCM, you
can refer to the DSM/ SCM User’s Guide.
2-2-9 Installing Storage Analyzer EMS Template
In order to map Storage Analyzer’s Subsystem ID to its Subsystem Name for generated EMS messages
by Storage Analyzer, the Storage Analyzer EMS template file needs to be installed. This will cause the
Storage Analyzer messages to show up as TANDEM.NSSTORA instead of TANDEM.288.
1) For installing the EMS templates please follow the steps listed below.
a) Logon to the system as SUPER.SUPER. Go to the Storage Analyzer installation Sub volume and
run the following command.
> Run WSATMPAK
The above command will extract the ZWSATMPL file and place it in the current sub volume.
b) Determine the volume where the installation sub volume ZINSAIDS is located. This sub volume
should have been placed on your system when you installed your last SUT-based products.
c) Enter the following command at the TACL prompt.
> LOAD / KEEP 1 / $
