8 Using the USB Interface for Data
Acquisition
AM8060 precision thermometer is designed with a USB
interface for temperature data acquisition and saving
temperature data to a file.
The following section describes the process of setting up a
USB temperature data acquisition system:
1) Connect a USB cable to the USB (USB B type) port at the
rear panel of the AM8060 digital thermometer to a
computer.

2) The first time the AM8060 digital thermometer is
connected to a computer, the computer will require the
installation of USB drivers. Detailed instructions for this
process are illustrated in the
Appendix. After the
installation of these USB drivers, no further drivers will
need to be installed.
