of the fans on that circuit as temperature changes. (Fan speed will increase as
temperature increases, and vis versa.) When this feature is selected, the controller will
prompt you for certain information. This information is listed on the following page.

Maximum Speed -- Usually set at 100% to gain maximum cooling capability
Maximum offset -- The distance in degrees above or below target temp when the fan
will reach maximum speed
Minimum Speed -- The minimum speed the fans on the Variable speed circuit will run.
Minimum Offset -- The distance in degrees below target temp when the variable speed
circuit will engage the fan(s).
Var. Speed Sensors -- Use the change setting up and down arrow keys to chose the
sensors to control the variable speed circuit.
Shutoff on Open -- If "yes" is selected, the variable speed fans will not operate when the
curtains are opened.

In the Example at the right, the system
was programmed as follows:

The System 1000 Power Curtain is also available with two variable speed stages. The
option will appear in both models, however, if the controller was not ordered with two
variable speed stages, the second stage will not function.

7.4. Light Strip Control

This feature is added for those applications which require the restriction of natural light
for production. When light strip control is activated, it will ask for a time to begin,
inches to drop, inches first drop, and end time. "Inches to Drop" is the distance from the
top of the curtain opening to the bottom of the light strip. The curtains will not rise
above this setting during light hours. "Inches first Drop" should be the distance you
desire the curtain to open on the first drop from dark to light.

7.5. Nite Vent Program

This program is only operative if the light strip control is enabled. When using this
program, the controller will allow natural ventilation during the hours you select. This
will save on energy costs by minimizing the use of power ventilation when it is dark.
The controller will ask for a "Begin Cycle PM" and an "End Cycle AM". Remember
when setting up the system to chose times when the sun is down.
