9. Programming Stages
Use the Select Feature up arrow key to select "Program Stages". When the menu is displayed, use
the Change Setting up arrow key to select yes, you want to program Stage 1. Your first task will
be selecting the mode (heating or cooling) for the stage. Below is a list of several different modes.
Your choice will depend on how you desire to program your building.
9.1. Example
Select desired mode by pressing the Change Setting up or down arrow keys. Below are
several modes to choose from. (Heat Mode is typically programmed here.)
•
Heat Mode: The stage may only operate when the curtains are in the closed
position.
•
Cool Negative: This stage will only operate when the curtains are in the closed
position.
•
Cool Tunnel: The stage will only operate when The System has switched to Tunnel
Mode via the Outside Sensor Control mechanism and when the curtains are
correctly positioned.
•
Cool Negative Tunnel: This mode will operate a combination of the Cool Negative
and the Cool Tunnel Mode.
•
Cool Stir: This mode is allowed to operate anytime the controller is not in tunnel
mode.
•
Cool Timer: A stage on cool timer will run as any stage on the timer, but only after
it has been turned on by temperature exceeding it’s offset plus differential.
Select the sensor or sensors you desire to use in Stage 1. Use the Change Setting up and
down arrow keys to choose your Stage 1 sensors.
Select the Offset in Stage 1. This is the amount in degrees from your target temperature
where a stage will turn off. Use the Change Setting up and down arrow keys to select the
Offset you wish. If the stage is a Heat Mode, subtract the number you have selected for
an Offset from your target temperature. This will be where the stage (Heat Mode) will
disengage. If this stage is a Cool Mode, add the number you have selected for an Offset
to the target temperature. This will be where the stage (Cool Mode) will disengage.
Select the Differential for stage 1. (offset + differential = the total # of degrees F away
from target temperature where a stage engages). Use the Change Setting up and down
arrow keys to select the amount of differential you desire. If the stage is a Heat Mode,
add the Offset and the Differential then subtract the total from the target temperature.
This will be where the stage engages Heat Mode. If the stage is a Cool Mode, add the
Offset and the Differential then add the total to the target temperature. This will be
where the stage engages Cool Mode.
Repeat the previous steps for stages two through eight.
10. Operation With Levels
