3.5 Setting
Set to the I/O parameters in the controller by using a teaching tool.Place the controller's
AUTO/MANU switch in the MANU position. The versions of teaching tool compatible with
EtherCAT® are as follows:
Ɣ XSEL PC software : from V9.00.00.00
Ɣ SEL-T/TG : from V1.12
Ɣ IA-T-X/IA-T-XD : from V1.52
3.5.1 Parameter Setting
[1] Check of Network Module Type
Confirm that the 1 st digit of I/O Parameter No.225 Network I/F Module Control setting is
showing “6” (EtherCAT®).

The setting of this parameter is established at the delivery. For EtherCAT®, it is shown as
“6h”.
The values above the second digit (from Bit 4) to be shown may differ depending on the
construction of used option board.
[2] Node address setting
Establishment of the parameter is not necessary as the master does it.
[3] Baud Rate Setting
It is unnecessary to establish the baud rate setting. It is fixed to 100BASE-TX (full-double).
