BR-SmartMedia in Serial RealTime Update Mode
For a BR-SmartMedia that is in Serial RealTime Update mode, the menu
will appear as follows. At the top of the screen the size of the AutoDownload
file found on the SmartMedia Flash Card (if any) is shown. If the
AutoDownload file isn't found, then 'not found' will appear in this space

Enter Command-
Serial RealTime Update mode from a PC running our PC•MACs software
sends out the first sixteen 8 bit wide channels of data through the PC’s serial
port. This mode allows a BR-SmartMedia to send out this same data. This
can be sent to any equipment which supports Serial RealTime Updates.
You must use the connect to the serial port through the edge connec-
tor via the card cage for the serial port. The connections are as follows:
RJ-12 Card Cage Signal Signal from/to BR-SM
1 white 11 brown ground ground
2 black 15 green Tx + - Serial data out from BR-SM
3 red 14 yellow Tx - + Serial data out from BR-SM
4 green 12 red Rx - - Serial data in to BR-SM
