A.4 Programmable Pressure Compensation
Adjustment
The standard model 3010MA software includes pressure
compensation of the sensor in a 1 to 1 relation with atmospheric pressure
change. While this is adequate for most applications, sometimes small
errors in the O
2
reading are observed when pressure compensation is
slightly off. The latest version of the 3010M software provides a pressure
compensation factor to allow the user to fine tune compensation.
PROCEDURE:
By default, the 3010M’s uses a 1:1 compensation ratio. That is, if
the atmospheric pressure increases by 1%, the software will reduce the O
2
reading by 1%. To find the optimum pressure compensation factor, the
analyzer should be set up as follows and the procedure followed carefully.
1. Verify the pressure compensation factor is set to 1.00.
While the analyzer is in the Analyze mode
Press the System key
Find and select the ‘PressureAdj’ function
Press the Enter key
Verify that the compensation factor is set to 1.00, adjust if
required
Press the Escape key
