10.7.1 Syntax

device [list]

10.7.2 Description

Displays the interfaces that IP is configured to use (device list), or adds an interface
to the configuration (device add), or deletes an interface (device delete), or deletes all
interfaces (device flush), from the configuration.
The options used with this command are described below:
is an arbitrary label for the interface, which is used in referring to it in

subsequent commands. (It is often chosen to be the same as >, though this is
perhaps slightly confusing.)

specifies the class of interface: Ethernet-like, IP-over-ATM, PPTP or

loopback.
