Console Management
Overview
The IntraSwitch 5212’s Local Management Interface is a menu-
driven application that provides for management and configura-
tion of the IntraSwitch 5212 and each of its ports.
You can access the Local Management Interface via two
methods:
❏ Out-of-band connection to the Console port
❏ In-band connection via a terminal emulator such
as Telnet (one session)

Important! Refer to Chapter 4, “Setting Up For
Management” for instructions on how to connect
to the Local Management Interface using one of
the two methods listed above.
This chapter describes each menu item within the Local
Management Interface, as well as how to perform the
configuration and management tasks outlined in Tables 5-1 and
5-2.
