Network

To connect the IntraSwitch 5212 to an Ethernet network:

Make sure the IntraSwitch 5212 is powered off.

Connect network devices to the IntraSwitch
5212, following the cable guidelines outlined
below.

Power on the IntraSwitch 5212.

After the IntraSwitch 5212 is connected to the
network and is powered on, it can be config-
ured for management capabilities (see "Setting
up for Management" on page 2-12
). For cabling
examples, see Figure 2-7.
