5. Detach one of the preprinted labels or one of the blank labels from the sheet of
labels that is included with the MLC. Remove the protective film from the
front of the label. To create customized labels, use a label maker, such as a
Brother P-touch, and clear label material to print text to place on the blank
labels.
6. Insert the new label into the opening from which the other label was removed.
7. Repeat steps four through six for each label you wish to replace.
8. Place the plastic window back onto the MLC to cover the labels.
9. Align the openings in the MLM-WB’s door with the MLC’s buttons, knobs,
and LEDs, and place the MLC into the door.
10. Insert the four screws removed in step one, and hand tighten them.

Completing and Testing the Installation
1. Connect cables between the MLC and any control modules that are installed
in the door.
2. If needed, connect an IR Emitter to the MLC’s Display/Source Control IR
port, and affix the signal-emitting head to the VCR directly over the VCR’s IR
pickup window. Refer to the MediaLink Controllers User’s Manual.
3. Supply power to and turn on the input and output devices, a host computer,
and the MLC.
4. Set up the MLC, and control modules (if applicable), by using the Windows-
based MediaLink control software or Simple Instruction Set ™ commands.

5. Test the system. Make adjustments to settings and cabling as needed.
To avoid receiving an electrical shock or damaging the equipment,
disconnect power from the computer, input and output devices, and the
MLC before changing the wiring.
