Routing cables into the MLM-WB
Power cable and receptacle installation should be performed by a qualified
electrician in accordance with national and local electrical codes.
The electrician can route power cables into the provided, UL Listed, two gang
junction box and install a pair of standard US-style duplex power receptacles
(included). Extron recommends using the included junction box and receptacles.
In some cases, such as installations in Europe and Asia, you may need to use a
different kind of junction box and receptacles to meet local electrical code
requirements.
Installing the international junction box mounting plate and a
non-included junction box
Follow these procedures to install an electrical junction box and receptacles other
than those provided by Extron:
1. Remove and save the nuts that secure the Extron-provided junction box to the
MLM-WB enclosure.
2. Remove the existing junction box.

7. Align the slotted mounting holes in the back of the MLM-WB’s outer
enclosure with the screws and/or toggle bolts in the wall. Move the
MLM-WB forward over the washers and down as shown in step seven of
”Installing the MLM-WB on a masonry wall” on page 2-7.
8. For each smaller, round mounting hole (in the middle row of holes) for which
you have drilled a pilot hole:
a. Insert a provided wood/metal screw through a flat metal washer (1”,
2.5 cm outer diameter; 0.25”, 0.6 cm inner diameter).
b. Insert each screw into the pilot hole.
9. For all the screws (inserted through slotted holes or round holes), firmly
tighten the screws and/or toggle bolts to secure the MLM-WB to the wall.
