We recommend you read all instructions fully before starting. Use Loctite®
on all threaded hardware. Cover your front fender to protect it from damage
prior to installing Engine Guard.

INCLUDED IN THE KIT:
Chrome Engine Guard (1) M8-1.25 x 75mm Flange Hex Head Bolt
TOOLS REQUIRED:
Driver and 8mm Socket
8mm Wrench
12mm Wrench
INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTE: For an easier install we recommend two people perform this installation.
1. Remove the reflector and horn bracket from the down tube by removing the M8-1.25 bolt using a 12mm
socket. This M8 bolt will be reused.
2. Using an 8mm socket remove the horn from the bracket, save the horn and the mounting nut for reuse. You
will not reuse the reflector or mount.
3. Using a 12mm wrench and socket remove the lower front M8 motor mount bolt.
4. Insert Engine Guard and align the lower brackets with the motor mount brackets on the frame.
5. Insert the new M8-1.25 x 75mm zinc flange hex bolt, then insert it through the mount bracket and thread the
stock M8 nut on using a 12mm wrench and socket snug up, but do not tighten at this time.
6. Rotate the upper bracket of the Engine Guard up to the threaded boss where the horn and reflector mount
were attached, align bracket holes with the threaded boss on the frame.
7. Insert the M8-1.25 bolt you removed earlier and tighten fully.
8. Take the horn and insert the stud through the mount hole on the top of the engine guard mount, be sure the
electrical leads face upwards and use the original nut to tighten in place.
9. Tighten the lower mounting bolts fully
RECOMMEND: Re-tighten all hardware after 100 miles of riding.
