10. Place the performance air filter into the filter groove on the backing plate. Then place Blue Loctite® in the
threads at the ends of the standoffs.
11. Place the black air filter retaining cover against the front of the filter and align it with the grooves in the
plate being sure the rear of the filter stays seated as well. Insert (3) 1/4-20 x 3/4" through the plate and into the
standoffs and tighten.
12. Install the chrome mesh and the xXx cover over the filter assembly and then insert the polished flat-head
bolt through the center and tighten. Be sure the align the "X" design so it sits in the rotation you prefer.
11. Take the large spacer tube and insert it between the rear of the backing plate the lower air box mount
bolted between the cylinders, take the M6 Lock washer and insert it on the M6-1.0 x 100mm flat-head bolt and
insert that through the through the backing plate and spacer tube then tighten it into the mount between the
cylinders. Be sure to put Blue Loctite® on the threads.
