Tank Extensions/Tank Canard
Our install guides provide a basic outline on the proper installation of our
products. Further tuning and/or fitment may be required. Baron bears no
responsibility on installation costs associated with this product.

INCLUDED IN THE KIT:
Tank Extension or Tank Canard
(2) Frame inserts
(2) M6x20 bolts
(2) lockwashers
INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTE: We recommend these accessories be installed by a body shop familiar with fiberglass work.
1. After removing fuel tank from the bike, remove petcock, fuel sender and mounting hardware from tank
(Leave rear mounting hardware in place for now to aid in fitting the tank extension).
2. Install supplied frame inserts into either side of rear tank mount on frame. Secure by welding or epoxy. Use
supplied hardware to secure tank to rear tank mount.
3. Tape off all openings with good 3M tape.
4. Reinstall fuel tank and slip the extension or canard on to tank to align. Mark your alignment with a Sharpie
or similar permanent marker pen.
5. We recommend any quality panel adhesive, like 3M DP420, to bond the extension or canard to the tank.
Follow directions provided with the adhesive you have selected for surface prep.
6. After bodywork and paint are completed, it may be necessary to pull back seat material from the front of the
seat and trim the pan for proper fitment against tank extension or canard.
Install Hints: Place fuel tank on a table with petcock removed and the extension on the back to check if is installed
square - tank should touch table at all four corners.
Use masking tape to secure the extension in place after applying adhesive. Wrap around tank and over and under
tank. When painting, ensure all of the bare metal under and behind the extension are painted to prevent rust.
