ENGINE GUARD - For The Victory Hammer, Vegas, And Kingpin
(08-11)

We recommend you read all instructions fully before starting. Use Loctite®

on all threaded hardware. Cover your front fender to protect it from damage

prior to installing Engine Guard.

Revision: 1.8 - 04/07/2011

Install Time: 20 Minutes

INCLUDED IN THE KIT:

(2) Aluminum Spacers

(2) M8x1.25x30 Hexhead Bolts

(2) 10MMx1.5x30 Sockethead Allen Bolts

(2) 10MMx1.5x60MM Socket Head Allen Bolt

INSTRUCTIONS:

NOTE: For an easier install we recommend two people perform this installation. Also, to prevent damage to the
motorcycle, cover the front fender with a large soft towel or fender cover

1. Safely secure the bike in the upright position.

2. Remove the hardware from both controls as illustrated in the photos 1 and 2. Gently let the controls dangle.
Also remove the two bolts which secure the horn in place and let it dangle.

3. At this point, it is best to have someone help you hold the engine guard while you install the hardware. Fish
the engine guard carefully through the opening between the front wheel and the frame. Then rotate the guard
up into place from the bottom to the top. The bottom bracket will fit over the front holes and the controls will
bolt over top of it.

4. On the brake side, install the foot control using a supplied spacer and the new M10x1.5x30 in the rear hole.
Use one of the supplied M10x1.5x60 bolts with the stock nut in the front hole. Use a drop of thread locker on all
nuts and bolts to prevent them from coming loose.

5. On the shift side, re-install the foot controls just as you did in step 4. Again, remember to use thread locker
on all nuts and bolts.

6. Using the remaining two M8x1.25x 30 hex bolts capture the top of the engine guard and sandwich it to the
frame by re-installing the horn assembly. RECOMMEND:
Re-tighten all hardware after 100 miles of riding.
