HARLEY PASSENGER FLOORBOARD COMFORT (Up) KIT -
Harley-Davidson FL Models (1993-2009)
NOTE: You must use the rectangular spacer block in order to use the 2" rise position to clear the right exhaust
pipe. They provide the ability to use certain aftermarket dual style exhausts that require the boards to sit
further away from the frame in order to move up higher. They can also be used by passengers wanting the
additional width which allows them to further relax there hips and thighs for added comfort. You may use
them as a set or only on one side of the bike as your passenger sees necessary.
SUGGESTIONS: Test fit the mounts and boards with your passenger to find the most comfortable position
before you lock the mounting bolts in place with Red Locktite®. Once their preferred position is decided upon
you would then remove and re-install the bolts using Red Locktite®
2. Be sure you are installing the mounts on the correct side of the bike. Choose the height you want your
passenger boards to sit at and attach the mount(s) to the appropriate holes (noted in paragraph above) using
the supplied 3/8-16 SS bolts.
NOTE: If you are installing the kit without the spacer blocks you will use the 1- 3/4" bolts and if using the
spacer blocks you will use the 3" bolts. Put Red Locktite® inside the threaded holes of the frame where you will
attach the two mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts fully and firmly.
3. With the mounts attached and secured with Red Locktite® you will now attach the stock mounting brackets
to them. Using the stock mounting bolts and lock washers re-attach the stock mounts and floorboards by
attaching them to the mounts. Thread the bolt through the stock mount and thread it into the mount, being
sure the locating pin seats fully into the unthreaded hole of the new mount. Tighten the bolt fully and firmly.
Repeat on opposite side.
4. Insert the small black plastic caps in the vacant holes under or over the mounts to clean up the frame.
Installation is now complete.
CAUTION: Be sure to re-tighten all mounting hardware after 100 miles and recheck at regular service
intervals.
