HOW TO USE THIS CATALOG

This catalog contains several tables and listings that will help you when you need to identify an axle bill of
material number, change a gear ratio or determine the dimensions and part numbers of an axle shaft assembly.

Bill of Material Listing
All Spicer axle bills of material are listed in numerical order giving the manufacturer, model and application
for each one. Refer to the appropriate parts catalog listed for your bills of material number.
The parts catalog contains exploded views, parts listings, bill of material tables, and variable parts tables
for each series. Listed below are the catalog numbers fpor each manufacturer's parts catalog:

Ring and Pinion Kits
This table lists all ratios that are available for each model axle. Also included for each ring gear and
pinion kit is the tooth count, the pinion number, the gear number and the gear set and pinion nut
number. Refer to the General Information section for instructions on how to change gear ratios.

If you do not know the ring and pinion kit number, but can determine either the ring gear number or
the pinion number, these listings will help you determine the correct kit number.

Differential Case Assembly Kits
This table lists all the case assembly kits available for each model axle along with the component
parts and the ratios each kit can be used with.

Axle Shaft Dimensions and Components
The front axle shaft listing is presented in numerical order by complete assembly number and con-
tains the component parts and dimensions for both outer and inner shaft ends and overall length.
