6.4 PLAYLIST CONTEXTUAL MENU
The Playlist contextual menu is available when right-clicking a playlist in the
element list. It gives access to actions that can be performed on playlists in the
Database Explorer:
Command Description
Cut
No relevant in the element list.
Copy
Copies the playlist to the clipboard. A shortcut can be
pasted in a bin.
Paste
No relevant in the element list.
New Playlist
Opens the Create New Playlist window.
Send to
Provides a submenu with the list of possible destinations
to which the selected playlist can be sent.
Possible destinations, depending on the XNet network,
are:
•
the user’s default bin
•
the user’s default playlist
•
a default archive target
•
any target destination visible on the TCP/IP network
that has been defined, such as CleanEdit targets, Avid,
targets, Final Cut Pro targets, File targets.
Backup to Nearline
Provides a list of possible destinations, in a submenu, to
which the selected playlist can be sent, e.g. any
destination visible on the TCP/IP network that is setup in
the Remote Installer to allow playlist transfer.
Import
Allows importing the playlist structure and playlist related
information from an XML file into IPDirector.
For more information, see also section 6.6.
Export
Allows exporting the loaded playlist structure and playlist
related information from IPDirector to an XML file or CSV
file, after setting up the requested TC for the track.

Playlist” in the Playlist Panel chapter, in part 6 of the user
manual.
Publish
Opens the Publish Playlist window in which you can
specify the user groups the selected playlist should be
published to.
