You will then get a message to enter the local
altimeter setting.
Enable Approach - Method 2
When an approach has been loaded, the aircraft is less
than 30 nm from the destination airport, and the
approach has not yet been enabled, pressing
FPL
will
result in the “Enable Approach?” prompt. If you press
SEL
while in Nav or Map mode home pages, the
prompt will also appear. Press
ENTER
when this
prompt is displayed to enable the approach. You will
then get a message to enter the local altimeter setting.
At 30 nm from Destination Airport
1. At 30 nm from the destination airport, the MSG
annunciator will flash. Press
MSG
. The display will
ask if you want to “Enable approach.” Press
ENTER
to enable the Approach operation. The Approach
annunciator will light and the CDI sensitivity will
automatically scale gradually from 5 nm to 1 nm
full scale.
Press ENTER to

2. The display will verify that you have enabled the
selected approach. You will now be prompted to
enter the local altimeter setting. Turn the
SMALL
knob to change the barometric pressure values and
turn the
LARGE
knob to move the cursor. Press
