6. System Settings
Through the System menu, you can set system-related parameters, including General Settings, Display Settings,
Face, Log settings, Shortcut Def. and Firmware Update.
6.1 General Parameters
•
Keyboard Clicks: Used to set whether to generate a beep sound in response to every
keyboard touch. Select “ON” to enable the beep sound, and select “OFF” to mute.

Voice Prompts: Used to set whether to play voice prompts during the operation of the
device. Select “ON” to enable the voice prompt, and select “OFF” to mute.
•
Volume: Used to adjust the volume of voice prompts. Options are Low, Mid and High.
•
Display Info: Used by the timeQplus software to display employee status (punching
IN/OUT) and number of hours worked for the pay period. Select “ON” to display
information.
6.2 Interface Parameters
•
Language: Allows user to switch to a different language (both on the display and voice
prompts). The terminal must be restarted (press reset button) in order for the new language to
take effect.
•
Toolbar: Used to display the style of the shortcut keys on the initial screen. It can be set to
“Auto Hide” and “Unhide”. By selecting “Auto Hide”, you can manually display or hide the
toolbar
.
•
Sleep Time: Used to specify the number of minutes of inactivity before the device is put
into sleep mode. You can wake up the device by touching the screen or scanning your face.
The numerical range is 1 ~ 30 minutes; the factory default is 3 minutes.
