Enhance Image
KEY POINT: This book uses illustrations showing a DocuColor
8000 Digital Press connected to a Fiery EXP8000 color
server. Your system may vary depending on the digital press and
color server for your work environment.
KEY POINT: The Enhance Image option activates only when the
Black and White scan option is selected. It is not available for
color scan jobs.
The Enhance Image area provides Deskew and Despeckle
options when scanning black and white images:
•
Deskew: This option straightens a crooked image. Deskew
checks your scanned files for any skew, or tilt, and corrects the
skew by tilting the bits within the image boundary.
– Skew most commonly occurs during scanning. The
Deskew option checks for skew every tenth of a degree
starting from .10
° to a maximum of 20 ° .
– Deskew does not operate with a skew of less then
1

10
of a
degree or more than 20 ° .
– To enable this option, select the Deskew checkbox.
