Important
❒ Confirm that the setting of the
paper size dial matches the pa-
per size and feed direction of
the paper in the tray. If is does
not, misfeeds or unexpected
printing results might occur.
❒ When the actual paper size is
not shown on the dial, set the
dial to "
p" and select the paper
size using the operation panel.

Slide the tray into the printer un-
til it stops.
Loading Thick Paper,
Envelopes or OHP
Transparencies
You can load thick paper, envelopes
or OHP transparencies into the tray 2.
When thick paper or OHP transpar-
encies are loaded, switch the lever in-
side of the paper tray.

Important
❒ When you set thick paper in tray 2,
do not stack paper above the lower
limit mark (
A) of tray 2.

Change the lever on the paper
size dial of the tray 2 (

A) to "Non-
Standard Paper” mode.
A yellow line appears under the
paper size indicated on the front of
the paper tray (
B).
Note
❒ Return the lever to the left side,
after you have finished printing
on thick paper, envelopes or
OHP transparencies.
Limitation
❒ If “Non-Standard Paper” mode
is selected, the following func-
tions are not available with tray
2:
• Duplex print
• Auto paper select
• Limitless paper feed
• Sample print
• Locked print
• Output from the finisher
(sort, shift sort, staple)
