To create a new profile for your AP, carry out the following steps:
1. Open
AP
Connection
Æ Add New.
2. For AP that only uses 802.1x authentication, set the profile like the following diagram:

3. For AP that uses both WPA and 802.1x authentication, set the EAP type to TLS, just as shown
below:

4. If you want to validate your server to check for information on the server to make sure you are
connecting to the right server, check the “Validate Server” checkbox, as shown below:

5. When you press the Right (“Connect”) Key on the Wireless Properties to try to connect to the
AP, a dialog box should pop up to prompt you for your login information (login id, password, and
domain name).
6. If the authentication process is successful, you will be able to obtain an IP address.
