Put-Away: The Put-Away process is used when the receiving process
is divided into two segments:
Staging: Receiving orders into a staging area
Put Away: Moving received orders from staging into the warehouse.
The put-away process moves items from the receiving location to the
final storage location. WMS scans an item in a staging location then
directs the operator to a storage location, which is determined by the
put-away sequence. An operator is presented with the primary location.
Once the material is placed in the location, the transaction requests a
confirmation. See

If you enabled put away item label printing in the RF Server Options
form\Printing tab, the items in the order, and all of the item infor-
mation, including item number, description, quantity, UOM, lot
number, and pallet number will be bar coded on the item label.
Additionally, the expiration date is included on the label. The item
label size is determined from the selection in the RF Server Options
form. For more information about label printing settings, please
refer to
“Setting Printing Options” on page 7
. The item label is auto-
matically sent to the default printer, per your setting, in the RF Cli-
ent Options (selection F7 from the RF Client Main Menu). For
more information about selecting the label printer, please refer to
“The Printers Option” on page 59
Note: Be aware of your receiving option settings, as set in the WMS RF
Server Options form/Receiving tab. These settings may affect screen fields
and order processing. For more information about the Receiving options,
please refer to
“Setting Receiving Order Options” on page 10
.
Also be sure your site is set correctly to ensure proper data retrieval on the
portable.
Inquire Order Option
All receiving orders in the system can be reviewed and selected for pro-
cessing with the Inquire Order function.

Select the <F3> key from the Main menu. The Receiving menu
appears.
