Wait while the printer initializes the printheads. After initialization, two alignment pages
print.
Calibrating color
The printer automatically calibrates color when you change a printhead. Calibrate color
manually, as described here, when you are not satisfied with the appearance of the colors. If
you are running Windows, calibrate color from the Toolbox. If you are running the Mac OS,
calibrate color from the HP Inkjet Utility.
To calibrate color from the Toolbox

Click the Toolbox icon on your desktop to open the Toolbox.

On the Printer Services tab, click Calibrate Color and follow the directions.
To calibrate color from the HP Inkjet Utility

Open the HP Inkjet Utility and click Calibrate Color.

Follow the instructions on the screen.
