2-18. IGNITION MODULES The ignition modules send 24 volts to the ignitors and gas valve.
LED Indication Two different modules are in the field. The White Rogers modules
have a red LED, and the Robershaw modules have a green LED.
These LEDs help to identify a failure.
For the White Rogers’ module, when the control calls for heat, the
White Rogers LED will flash, then go out, indicating the control is functional. If the
LED continues to flash, the module did not sense a pilot flame. If
the LED stays on continuously, an internal fault has been detected,
and the module should be replaced.
Robertshaw
For the Robertshaw, when the control calls for heat, the LED will

1. Remove electrical power supplied to the unit.
To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the
power switch to OFF and disconnect main circuit
breaker, or unplug cord at wall receptacle.
2. Remove the control panel as discussed in Complete Control
Panel Section.
3. Remove the condensation drain pan.
4. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screws securing
the module cover and remove the cover.
5. Label and remove the wires from the module.
6. Using a 3/8” socket and Phillips head screwdriver, remove the
nuts and screws securing the module and remove it from the
unit.
7. Replace with module in reverse order.
