Message Causes and solutions
COVER OPEN 1 Cause: Incomplete closing of upper door
Solution: Close the upper door.
Note: See caution following in this table.
Cause: Incomplete locking of paper guide
inside the rear stacker
Solution: Lock the paper guide.
Note: See caution following in this table.
Cause: Incomplete closing of rear unit of
the optional duplex unit
Solution: Close the rear unit of the duplex
unit.

Solution: If the error recurs, consult your
dealer for service.
Cause: Incorrect SIMM card installed

when the FPS emulation is active.)

Cause: Paper mismatch occurred.
Solution: Set the specified tray to the
correct paper size specified.
