OPTION ACCESSIBILITY: Through any serial computer port.
By responding to the Enter Request: message at the end of the main
configuration menu (see
Section 8.1
) with "2" (Program Port Logical
Name), you may enter a logical or identifying name for each device
connected to the selected module. These Logical Names appear in
the configuration menus and also in the I.D. Page Message if it is
enabled.
The Model 24SII DES will respond with:

Enter Port Number (ENTER=Exit) :
You should now enter the port number of the device for which you
wish to program a new Logical Name and then strike the Enter key.
For example, if you entered "1" and Enter for Port 1, the Model 24SII
DES will respond with:

Enter Logical Name (Max. 8 Characters) :
You may now enter the new Logical Name for the device connected to
this port. A maximum of 8 characters may be entered. If less than 8
characters are entered, the entry must be followed by striking the
Enter key.
