Audio Configuration Basic Tab – Dolby Pass-through
Dolby Pass-through is a mode where audio comes pre-encoded in the SDI signal, and is simply
passed on to the transport stream without any processing from the 9992-ENC, except for
transport packetization. Dolby Pass-through does not have any additional parameters in the
Basic tab. The 9992-ENC supports pass-through of the following signal types:
Dolby AC-3
Dolby EAC-3
Dolby E
Audio Configuration Advanced Tab
The appearance of the audio configuration advanced tab is a function of the encoding standard,
but some parts of it are common to all standards.
Audio Configuration Advanced Tab – Common Parameters
The common parameters are shown below.
Audio Delay (ms):
Use this to compensate for up to ±200 milliseconds of audio delay in
the input signal. This setting will advance or delay the audio in relation to the video by
the amount configured.
Audio Gain L/R (dB):
This control allows an independent gain adjustment for the left
and right audio channels, from -18.0 dB to +18.0 dB, in steps of 0.5 dB. If this audio
encoder channel is configured for 5.1 Surround operation, additional gain controls
become available:
