o
In Multi-Channel Encoding with Ultra Low Latency enabled, the
encoder only supports
two
HD channels.
o
Flash Detection is not available in Ultra Low Latency mode.
o
H.264 (AVC):
This selects H.264 (Advanced Video Coding).
o
H.262 (MPEG-2):
This selects H.262, which is more commonly known as
MPEG-2 video encoding (ISO/IEC 13818-2).
Flash Detection (frames)
: The 9992-ENC has a video quality optimization function
whereby it can detect scene changes and include I-Frames at change. However, for best
video quality, this function needs to ignore flashes in the video. This setting configures
the number of frames to be used in flash detection. Setting it to zero disables the
function. Setting it to a non-zero value increases the encoder latency by the same number
of frames. Note that this control will disappear in Ultra Low Latency mode.
Once you make your selections click,
Apply
.
Note that making changes to this tab will cause all
encoder instances to stop
. Clicking on
Cancel
reverts any changes.
Note that the list of available output protocols changes based on the encoder compression
standard.
Encoder Mode Statistics Tab
The Encoder Mode Statistics tab shows the current settings for the parameters in the Encoder
Mode Configuration Tab.
This tab has one additional indicator,
Core State
. This indicator should always show
OK
. If it
does not, please reboot the encoder and contact Cobalt Digital.
