increases the video quality. Unless your application is latency-sensitive, it is
recommended that the CBP Delay be left at the default value of 1000 ms.
Horizontal GDR, Vertical GDR:
GDR (Gradual Decoder Refresh) is a technique that
can reduce the encoder latency. Enabling one or both of these parameters may reduce the
end-to-end latency at the expense of video quality. The block size represents a tradeoff
between latency and quality (higher block sizes will have higher latencies).
PPS Insertion:
This parameter controls where the Picture Parameter Set (PPS) is
inserted. It is usually not necessary to make changes to it. Setting it to
Every Picture
may have a negative quality impact at lower bit rates because the overhead increases.
Deblocking Filter:
Check this box to enable the deblocking filter. Disabling the
deblocking filter will degrade video quality. This control is provided for compatibility
with low-end decoders; do not disable unless absolutely necessary.
Weighted Prediction:
Check this box to enable weighted prediction. Disabling weighed
prediction will degrade video quality. This control is provided for compatibility with
low-end decoders; do not disable unless absolutely necessary.
Advanced Tab–Additional HEVC Video Parameters in ULL Mode
If Ultra-Low Latency is enabled, several of the above parameters will no longer be available or
will have their ranges restricted. The available parameters are shown below. The individual
parameter descriptions from the previous section still apply.
Advanced Tab–Additional AVC Video Parameters
The AVC-specific Advanced Tab parameters are shown below.
