Print head is clean
Print head needs cleaning
If you don’t see any improvement after running a nozzle check from the computer utility, then run a
Heavy level cleaning from the product's control panel. If you still don't see any improvement, you may
need to perform a Powerful Cleaning from the Administrator menu.

If print head nozzles are still clogged after running three Normal cleanings and one Heavy cleaning, you
should run a Powerful Cleaning using the control panel on your product. This process consumes a lot
of ink.
1. Make sure roll or cut sheet paper is loaded in the printer.
2. Make sure the correct paper type is selected.
3. Press the Menu button.
4. Press the down arrow button to select Administrator Menu and press the right arrow button.
5. Press the right arrow button to select Powerful Cleaning .
6. Press the up or down arrow button to select one of the following:
• To clean all nozzles, select All Nozzles and press the right arrow button.
• To select specific nozzles for cleaning, select one of the nozzle color combinations and press the
right arrow button.
