For the fans to be controlled only by their own gauges, check Individual Control. In this case, FanTestic
will have to send the pressure or speed to each of the gauges.

On the other hand, to control the speed of multiple fans (with only one primary gauge that will be
receiving ‘set pressure’ signals from FanTestic), simply uncheck Individual Control. In this case, FanTestic
will send the pressure to a single (primary) gauge, and the primary gauge will direct its speed signal to
the other gauges simultaneously.

Individual Control ON (checked): When attempting to create a pressure, FanTestic will tell each gauge
to seek that pressure target simultaneously. This would be the same as a human operator using the Set
Pressure function on each gauge individually.

Individual Control OFF (unchecked): This will select the first gauge in the list as the “primary gauge”
automatically. The primary gauge can be switched by the user. When attempting to create a pressure,
FanTestic will tell the primary gauge to seek that target pressure. FanTestic will then read the %speed
from the primary gauge, and tell all other gauges to go to that speed. This effectively turns all fans into
one big fan that is controlled by the induced pressure on channel A of the primary gauge.

The following diagram displays the setup in this manner, where the black box represents the Retrotec
Fan Splitter for connecting the drives to the primary gauge (DM-2 #1) via speed control cables:
