Changing the Jumper Settings
If you need to change any jumper settings, follow these steps:
1. Remove any option cards that may be blocking your access to
the jumpers. See page 6-12 for instructions.
2. Change the jumper settings as necessary according to the
tables above.
To move a jumper from one position to the other, use
needle-nose pliers or tweezers to pull it off its pins and
gently move it to the desired position. Be careful not to lose
the jumper.
Caution
Be careful not to bend the jumper pins or damage any
surrounding components on the main system board.
3. Replace any option cards you removed. See “Installing an
Option Card,” below.
4. Follow the instructions in Chapter 5 to replace the computer’s
cover.
