INV Bypass/Output OFF (INV Input ON)
Operation
With the AC breakers in this position, power from
both the main panel and inverter are removed from
the sub-panel. This allows the loads in the sub-
panel, or any installed equipment beyond the MP
enclosure to be serviced. To service the inverter, the
Inv Input breaker must also be turned OFF.
Inverter Bypass Operation
With the AC breakers in this position, power passes
directly to the loads in the sub-panel, bypassing
the inverter. When the inverter input breaker is ON,
the batteries will continue to be charged. If inverter
maintenance or service is required, the inverter
input breaker must be turned OFF. If AC power
from the main panel fails while the AC breakers are
in this position, the loads in the sub-panel will not
be powered.
Normal Operation
With the AC breakers in this position, power passes
through the inverter to the connected loads. If
an AC line failure occurs, the inverter will use DC
power from the batteries to maintain the loads in
the sub-panel.
Note: The Inverter Input Breaker shown in this fi gure is a double-pole 30A breaker. On MPSL-60S models
this breaker is a single-pole 60A breaker, however the operation of this breaker is the same as shown.
