8. If the inverter is protected against theft, open the
padlock and remove it.
12.2 Packing the Inverter
• Pack the inverter. Use the original packaging or packaging that is suitable for the weight and
dimensions of the inverter (see Section 13 "Technical Data", page 77).
12.3 Disposing of the Inverter
• Dispose of the inverter in accordance with the locally applicable disposal regulations for
electronic waste.

Return the inverter to SMA Solar Technology AG at your own expense (see Section 15
"Contact", page 90). When doing so, label the packaging "ZUR ENTSORGUNG"
("FOR DISPOSAL").

Risk of injury when taking down the inverter
• Keep in mind the weight of the inverter (see Section 13 "Technical Data", page 77).
• Lift the inverter off the wall mounting bracket.
Use the recessed grips at the side and
transport the inverter in a horizontal position.
