If there is no conductive connection present, the varistor is defective. SMA Solar Technology AG
recommends replacing all varistors immediately.
– Order new varistors and insertion tools (see Section 14 "Accessories", page 89).
– If new varistors are available, replace all varistors (see Section 11.6).
If there is a conductive connection present, contact SMA Service Line.
11.6 Replacing the Varistors
1. Disconnect the inverter from voltage sources (see Section 9).
3. Loosen the screws on the upper enclosure lid with
an Allen key (AF 4) and remove the enclosure lid.
4. Insert the insertion tool into the clamp contacts of
the terminal block.
5. Pull the varistor out of the terminal block.

• Wait five minutes before opening the upper enclosure lid.
