6.5 Checking the Switch Cabinet from the Outside
6.5.1 Checking the Door Seals
There are seals on the doors of the inverter.

Required maintenance material (not included in the scope of delivery):
☐ A suitable water-free, heat-resistant lubricant
☐ Talcum, petroleum jelly or wax.
Procedure:
2. Open the inverter doors.
3. Check whether there is any damage to the seals in the sealing area. Note: the sealing area is not visible when the
door is closed.
If seals are damaged, contact the SMA Service Line.
4. Maintain seals with talcum, petroleum jelly or wax. This prevents frost damage.
5. After removing the side panels: check whether or not the seals in the side panels show any damage in the sealing
area.
If seals are damaged, contact the SMA Service Line.

Danger to life due to electric shock or electric arc by touching live components
• Switch off the inverter and wait at least 15 minutes it, until the capacitors have discharged completely.
• Disconnect the inverter (see Section 6.1).
