Satellite Panel Mapping

If you connect a Satellite Panel the right mapping to an existing M/M stripe
has to be observed.

Rules

Please note the following simple rules.

An M/E stripe is determined by the existence of a crossbar module 
(Rool: No crossbar module, no M/E stripe).

Local EMEM and Transi Modules are M/E stripe extension modules.

One Local EMEM within an M/E stripe is necessary to be able to assign
M/Es.

A Local EMEM (or Transi) Module which is in a stripe without a
crossbar module are mapped to an M/E stripe in the neighbourhood to
supply 1M/E panel layout .

Connection Example

The right mapping will be made by connecting the Satellite Panel to the
proper PCU Port. If a Satellite Panel should be assigned to a special M/E
stripe, identify the port number of this M/E first and use the next higher
port number to connect the Satellite Panel.

Note

Satellite Panels equipped with Aux, Master EMEM, Multi Function Control and
Machine Control Modules no special port mapping is neccessary!
