• Ingest fails with Transfer status window reporting Track synchronization error
occurred.
Workaround / hints:
• This is caused by media files / tracks are not aligned. This can occur if the clip
was originally recorded with 2 audio tracks and then later on playout on a
channel with 4 audio tracks. In this case the PVS or K2 will create dummy
tracks which then causes the transfer to fail.
Description:
• Fails to ingest media to Avid.
Workaround / Troubleshooting hint:
• Check the tmClient.ini. Host names should be used not IP addresses.
Send To Playback
Description:
• When selecting “Send to playback” no devices are listed or the wrong device
names are listed.
Workaround / hints:
• The Avid Interplay Transfer Engine is not running. If the Avid Interplay Transfer
Engine are running, then verify the editor are connected to the server. Click on
Transfer (on menu bar of the editor). The editor is not connected if it says
“Connect to server” in that case click to connect.
• Use the Avid Interplay Transfer Engine Configuration tool to verify the device
names.
Description:
• Send to playback fails with transfer status “error” and the Transfer Engine
console window displays “Failed to connect to Playback service”
Workaround / hints:
• Tserver are not running on Profile or K2. Verify it’s running.
• Check the device name added in the Avid Interplay Transfer Engine
configuration.
• Check IP address and device name are correct in the hosts table on the Avid
Editor and Avid Interplay Transfer Engine.
