• Verify the TransferManager is running.
• Verify the Editor is connected to the TransferManager.
• If no faults can be found then save the console output from the XferMgrserver
(TransferManager) which can then be forwarded to Grass Valley for further
Analysis.
Ingest to Avid fails
Description:
• Ingest fails with error message “Unable to transfer from the ingest device. The
server doesn’t have information for the specified device”.
•
Workaround / hints:
• The device used to ingest from has not been added to the Avid Interplay
Transfer Engine Configuration or the wrong name was added. Please check
hostname used and add if missing.
• The Avid Interplay Transfer Engine is not running. If the Avid Interplay Transfer
Engine are running then verify the editor are connected to the server. Click on
Transfer (on menu bar of the editor). The editor is not connected if it says
“Connect to server” in that case click to connect.
Description:
• Ingest fails with transfer status “error” and the Transfer Engine console window
displays “Unable to load dll: GvgK2PvsRecvVC7]
Workaround / hints:
• K2AvidDHM has not been installed. Check installation and install if missing.
Description:
• Ingest fails with error message “Cannot perform ingest operation”, “The
required dll for the ingest device could not be located.”
Workaround / hints:
• Check the location of the editor program, C:\Program Files\Avid\Avid
NewsCutter, verify GvgK2SetupVC7.dll and GvgProfileSetupVC7.dll are
present. Reinstall software and make sure the correct path is used during
install.
