Configuring the Avid Transfer Manager / Interplay engine
The following example is from a standalone Interplay engine.
1. Start the TmConfig or Avid Interplay Transfer Engine Configuration, usually a
icon on the desktop. Alternative you can find this in C:\Program
Files\Avid\TransferManager
Server\TRANSFERMANAGERCONFIG\tmconfig.exe or in case of interplay in
C:\Program Files\Avid\Avid Interplay Transfer
Engine\TRANSFERMGRSERVERCONFIG\tmconfig.exe
2. In the Standalone Settings:
a. Tick the Accept Incoming transfers after timeout.
b. Select OMF or AAF.
c. Select the directory for incoming transfers.
3. In the System Settings:
a. Tick the Enable auto-cleanup of transfer queues.
b. Set the Storage Type to Standalone.
4. In the Workgroups:
a. Tick the Workgroup transfers enabled.
b. Tick the delete temporary composition files after transfer.
c. Click the Add… and add “WORKGROUP” to the Add Workgroup Name
field. And the Hostname of the Interplay engine device to the Maps To
server Name field as show below.
5. In the Playback
a. Tick the Playback transfers enabled.
b. Set the max simultaneous playback transfers to 4.
