Appendix A: Troubleshooting
Problem:
The camera allows me to walk off-screen before it begins following me.
Solution:
Your Pan/Tilt Window size may be too large, or Subject Position may be
set too far left or right. Try the following:
• Resetting
the
Pan/Tilt Window size and Subject Position to
zero (0).
• Making
your
Pan/Tilt Window size smaller.
• Zooming out to provide a wider view.
• Increasing the tracking sensitivity.
Problem:
The camera moves faster in one direction than the other.
Solution:
Follow the directions on the page 41 to calibrate the joystick.
Problem:
The Gen Lock’s coarse sub-carrier (SC) adjustment jumps 180° out of
phase when using the Control Unit.
Solution::
SC coarse adjustment was set with the on-screen menus of the camera
and needs to be changed.
1. Using Camera Control Keypad, enter the on-screen menus.
2. Ensure the coarse SC is set to 0° on both memories A and B.
3. Exit the on-screen menus.
If 180° phase shift is needed, set Dip Switch 2 of Switch Bank A on the
back of the camera to the UP position.
Problem:
Selecting a location preset does not recall a stored level of Paint or
Gain on a 3-CCD camera.
Solution:
Paint corresponds with Auto White Balance (AWB). Gain corresponds with
Manual White Balance.
• To recall a stored paint level, the camera must be in AWB.
• To recall a stored gain level, the camera must be in Manual
White Balance.
