Appendix A: Troubleshooting
Problem:
The CONTROL Center doesn’t beep when setting a location preset or
autoTRACK View.
Solution:
Verify that the Beep function on the Setup Director menu is turned ON.
If it is not, press the Beep function command button to turn it ON.
Problem:
CONTROL Center displays a “VIDEO SWITCH COMM ERROR.”
Solution:
This means the CONTROL Center is not communicating properly with the
selected camera.
• Check all the connection cables.
• Verify that the selected CameraMan is on your network.
• Verify that the CameraMan’s DIP Switch 7 on Switch Bank A is UP (See
the CameraMan operations manual for more details.).
• Verify that the ROM card in your CameraMan is the correct revision
number.
• Verify that the base unit address is set properly (see page 8).
Problem:
CameraMan does not autoTRACK (autoTRACK version only).
Solution:
• Verify that autoTRACK is turned ON. If not, press the autoTRACK
button on top of the joystick to turn autoTRACK ON.
• Activate one of the autoTRACK Views by pressing one of the
autoTRACK View buttons on the Control Unit.
• Check your soft stops. If they are set too close together, the camera will
not move.
Problem:
Cannot change any camera settings or presets.
Solution:
The LOCK function in the Setup menu may be turned ON. If so, then
press the LOCK function command button to turn it OFF.
Problem:
3-CCD menu is not present.
Solution:
Verify that the selected camera is a 3-CCD CameraMan model.
